Westerlands Accommodation
Terms and Conditions
Thank you for choosing to stay at Westerlands.
While you are on site within the borders of Westerlands and whilst you stay with us you are responsible for your own acts and are also responsible for the acts of anyone you invite to join (or provide access to) in any accommodation or experience.
For example, this means:
(i) you are responsible for leaving an accommodation (and related personal property) in the condition it was in when you arrived
(ii) you are responsible for paying all damage claim amounts necessary to cover damage that you, your guest(s), or your pet(s) cause to an accommodation, and
(iii) you must act with integrity, treat others with respect and comply with applicable laws at all times. If you are booking for an additional guest who is a minor or if you bring a minor to any stay or activity, you must be legally authorised to act on behalf of that minor and you are solely responsible for the supervision of that minor.
Check-in times are from 3pm on the day of check-in, and check-out is by 11am of the morning of departure unless agreed to otherwise and in advance. These times must be adhered to. We reserve the right to impose late check-out cost penalties where this deadline is missed, to cover any associated loss of income or increased cleaning costs.
The property is located on a regenerative, operating farm. Please note that farm machinery is often moving about the property and could need to operate at any location. We are unable to accept any liability or blame for any injuries to person, property or pet that should arise from guest failure to observe caution around our farm vehicles.
Additionally, we ask that fireworks are not released on site, dogs are kept on leads, and noise levels are considered. We want you to love your stay here and we will do everything we can to make that happen, but kindly consider the environment and location please.
For any type of commercial use such as filming location or corporate events we are unable to accept any responsibility for your cast and crew, and any damages or repairs needed will be provided or covered by yourselves. We reserve the right on an ad hoc basis to charge a small deposit based on our perceived risk of damage based on your event. In these instances, we also reserve the right to see your insurance details such as employer and/or public liability etc and will discuss this on a case-by-case basis prior to your stay/event.
We provide free off-road parking but cannot take responsibility for your car or any belongings within. You park it on our premises at your own risk, and please be considerate to larger farm vehicles that may need to pass by.
The family and tenants reside on the estate so please be considerate when moving through the farm or between properties. Please note that no properties’ maximum stated capacity should be exceeded at any time, which in the case of our cabins and shepherds’ huts might cause permanent damage to their infrastructure. We reserve the right to cancel your stay immediately and ask you to leave without refund if this rule is contravened.
Our Cancellation Policy
100% payment is due on booking to secure your dates
100% refund if your booking is cancelled more than 30 days before check-in
50% refund if your booking is cancelled between 14-30 days before check-in
0% refund if your booking is cancelled less than 14 days before check-in
We’re happy to adjust your stay dates when possible. Please note, however, that changing your dates does not create a new cancellation window. The original cancellation terms still apply. If you move your stay to an earlier date, the cancellation deadline will also move forward accordingly.
