Events, courses, workshops and retreats focused on fun, fitness and wellbeing all set in nature at Westerlands, the heart of the South Downs.

    WILDFIT CLASSES

    We run a variety of friendly and inclusive classes for strengthening your body with a focus on safe, personalised training with our knowledgeable instructors. Get your mood and energy boost by working out in nature!

    Pay per class, buy a class pack or join as a monthly WildFit member and get a free taster class.

  • Wednesday 1 May

    MONTHLY SOCIAL RUN, PILATES & COFFEE

    Join Sophie from SoPilates&Barre for a fun filled morning at Westerlands on the first Wednesday of every month. Starting with a 5-6km trail run, then stretch out and an energy shot before getting on your mats for an hour of Pilates, finishing with a moment of calm and breath work. Then its over to the Horsebox Café for a hot or cold drink of your choice and a healthy or not so healthy treat!

    Price: £40 (inc refreshments)

    Pilates class will be held in the Rose Room if weather is not suitable for an outdoor class.

  • Wednesday 8 May

    WEEKLY PILATES CLASS

    Join Sophie from SoPilates&Barre every Wednesday morning for an hour of Pilates instruction. Sophie will lead you through a combination of strength and stretch exercises in one dynamic full body workout, followed by a moment of calm and breath work to conclude the session. Suitable for all ages and abilities.

    This class will be held in the Rose Room if the weather is not suitable for an outdoor class.

    WOMEN´S GUIDED TRAIL RUN

    Join Rachel at She Runs Outdoors for this wonderful 13km women's guided trail run through picturesque landscapes along open farmland paths. Explore the enchanting trail encircling Burton Mill Pond, a haven teeming with diverse wildlife. Continue along the Serpent trail, leading to the beautiful sights of Duncan and Lavington Commons, with spring floral displays and finally, treat yourself to a post-run indulgence at our Café.

  • Monday 27 May

    YOGA CLASS

    Join us for a morning of gentle movements and breathing techniques outside in the fresh air. Relax and unwind with sounds of nature in the background. This class will help reduce stress and create mind-body awareness. Ideal for beginners.

  • Tuesday 28 May

    PONY MORNING

    Two and a half hours of fun with our four legged friends. Includes one ride, lots of grooming and learning how to take care of your pony. Suitable for ages 3+. Our Horsebox Café will be open for parents to relax and enjoy a coffee and cake.

  • Friday 31 May

    FORAGING WALK

    Foraging helps us to connect with nature and reminds us that we need to take care of it. Join Mel Jamison, our resident forager and herbalist, on a journey through the woods, along the hedgerows and over the fields to find nourishing and nutritious ingredients. Discover the joy of seasonal eating and the healing and therapeutic power of medicinal plants. Suitable for all ages.

    This is a device free experience so no mobile phones please. We use a polaroid camera to to gift you a memory.

  • Saturday 1 June

    MOVIE NIGHT

    Our outdoor cinema offers a unique experience that delivers a refreshing alternative to TV. The combination of relaxing under the stars and the feel-good hormones from watching a good movie can lift your spirits and enhance your emotional well-being. Bring your own chair or blanket and pack some picnic food. On-site drinks and snacks are also available to purchase.

  • Weekend 21-23 June

    GRAFFHAM ART TRAIL

    Westerlands is delighted to be involved as one of the hosts of this year´s Graffham Art Trail. Paintings by Pamela Jamison and Sya Goring will be on display in Westerlands Barn next to our Horsebox Café.

  • Saturday 19 October

    WOMEN´S GUIDED TRAIL RUN

    Join Rachel at She Runs Outdoors on a scenic 22km women's guided trail run through the stunning South Downs National Park. Starting at Westerlands, you will embark on a running adventure across farmland and making your way up to the South Downs Way to Heyshott where you will drop down to join the Serpent trail to meander your way back to Westerlands Farm where you can treat yourself to a post-run indulgence of freshly ground coffee and delicious cake.

    CHRISTMAS FAIR 2024

    We look forward to welcoming guests, visitors and our local community to our annual Christmas Fair. We invite you to once again step into a world of festive delights, walk through a winter wonderland of handmade treasures, enjoy fun Christmas activities and eat delicious food.

Events in 2024

  • Community Open Day

    April | It was such a pleasure to hold an open day for our local community. Antonia and Olly gave walking tours of the estate including our accommodation, trekking yard, outdoor gym, and regenerative farm. See video >

  • Easter Pony Morning

    April | Riding around the farm, learning how to take care of our ponies with lots of grooming and cuddles, learning to jump just like champion equestrians - our visitors had lots of fun and our horses loved every minute! See reel >

  • Easter Egg Trail

    March | Our annual Easter Egg Trail was a great success with over 40 kids hunting for eggs around the farm. We love hosting our local community and bringing people together for social time with friends out in the fresh air.

  • Guided Trail Run (20miles)

    March | Hosted at Westerlands and organised by She Runs Outdoors, the run started on the Serpent Trail, explored the lower heathland then up to the South Downs Way and finished with a hot drink at our Horsebox Café.

  • Guided Trail Run (10km)

    February | Hosted at Westerlands and organised by She Runs Outdoors, the runners had a fantastic morning on the Graffham trails, followed by coffee and cake at our Horsebox Café. See video >

  • Pony Morning

    February | We had lots of fun at our half-term pony morning. Everyone had a ride around the farm and learned how to take care of their pony with lots of grooming. Our horses loved the attention! See video >

  • Guided Trail Run (12 miles)

    January | Hosted at Westerlands and organised by She Runs Outdoors, the 12 mile Women’s Guided Trail Run on the South Downs was a great success. Runners were rewarded with blue skies and bright sunshine!

  • Christmas Fair

    December | Our first pop-up Christmas Fair was a great success. Lots of fun activities for the kids, delicious food and drink for everyone and lots of stalls with gorgeous products hand made by local artisans.

  • Outdoor Movie

    October | A Halloween special, Tim Burton’s ‘A Nightmare Before Christmas’. Made cosy with fire bowls and hot water bottles. Fuelled by hot drinks & marshmallows and popcorn.

  • Ultra Marathon

    October | Hosted at Westerlands and organised by Freedom Racing, the Five Trails 50k Ultra & Three Trails Half Marathon was epic! Congratulations to all who took on the challenge. See video >

  • Yoga Sound Bath

    October | A nourishing evening with Letty Luna. Gentle stretching, breathing and relaxation to the entrancing sound of crystal singing bowls in our cosy, candle-lit Yurt.

  • Yoga Reset

    October | A morning of gentle movements, deep breathing and relaxation led by Sophie White and held in our Yurt (an intimate and nurturing space warmed by a wood burning stove).

  • Spark Fest

    July | Hosted at Westerlands and organised by The Copy Club. An inspiring one-day festival of talks, walks and delicious food. Members came together for a day of connection, learning, development, advice and support.
