As dusk falls over Westerlands, step into the hidden world of Sussex's nocturnal wildlife with award-winning naturalist Michael Blencowe. Explore ancient woodland and wildflower meadows as bats emerge to hunt and an extraordinary array of moths begin their nightly activity beneath the skies of the South Downs International Dark Sky Reserve.
After a relaxed wood-fired supper at Woodfire Camping, you'll head out on a guided evening safari to identify resident bat species and help set a humane moth trap. The following morning, guests staying overnight are invited to join Michael for breakfast as the trap is carefully opened, revealing and identifying the beautiful moths that visited overnight before they are safely released.
