The beauty of Little Marrakesh lies in its ability to transport you. Richly woven Bedouin fabrics envelop the space, creating a warm, cocoon-like retreat where lantern light glows against colourful patterns.
It captures the romance of a faraway adventure, while the rolling Sussex countryside reminds you that remarkable escapes don't always require a passport.
Dog friendly accommodation
We love dogs here at Westerlands however Little Marrakesh is only really suitable for small dogs as there is no private garden and our chickens roam around outside and love to stop by for a visit.
We do ask that you bring your dog’s bed so they feel truly at home.
We support the SDNP Take the lead campaign which means keeping dogs on a lead outside the garden. This is for their own safety around farm machinery as well as the welfare of our animals - our chickens roam free - as well as the abundance of wildlife here on the South Downs.
“I was invited by @westerlands_life to stage a Blencowe bat and moth extravaganza at Westerlands Farm near Petworth. And what a fantastic evening / morning it was.
This rural retreat at the foot of the South Downs offers a range of accommodations and I was excited to find I would be spending the night in a genuine bedouin tent. Always wanted to be a Saharan nomad - but am not too keen on getting sand in my Converse!
After we fired up the moth trap, I retired to my luxurious beit al-sha'ar and dreamed of dates, camels and bellydancing bats. Y'know what? I really like my job.”
