Originally a mare and foal stable, this unique space has been transformed into a lovely apartment. The layout is designed to maximise natural light and space, creating a bright and airy feel throughout. The living room serves as the heart of the home, offering easy access to all other areas, not only enhancing the sense of flow and connection between rooms but also preserving the building’s original sense of openness and function.

Practical design
High ceilings, wide doorways, and sturdy walls hint at the building’s original purpose. These architectural features speak to its past as a stable, where practical design met the needs of sheltering horses. The space is designed with durability and function in mind.

Floorplan
Are you a planner? Have you always wanted to know the layout of a property before you make your decision to book? Well we understand that which is why we provide a floor plan so that you can choose where everyone is going to sleep and which spaces are perfectly suited for the activities you have planned.
Dog friendly accommodation
We love dogs here at Westerlands and can provide dog bowls and towels on request.
We do ask guests to bring their own dog beds.
We support the SDNP Take the lead campaign which means keeping dogs on a lead outside the garden. This is for their own safety around farm machinery as well as the welfare of our animals - our chickens roam free - as well as the abundance of wildlife here on the South Downs.
Bring your horse on holiday
Our stable yard is just a few minutes walk from our properties and this is where you can arrange turnout and stabling for your horse while you are staying with us.

“A beautiful piece of countryside with extremely comfortable accommodation. The property has everything that you need. It has a complete home away from home feel, and whilst the outside might present as a bit rugged and humble, after a few nights there, and just one or two amazing walks, you will realise what a gem this place is. Definitely worth a visit!”
