Night Sky Resource Library

The night sky has guided people for centuries, shaping traditions, stories, and the rhythm of the seasons.

In our collection of articles, you’re invited to explore the history and symbolism of each full moon, along with the wonder of meteor showers and other celestial events, and discover their lasting connection to the natural world.

Dark Sky Reserve

At Westerlands, within the South Downs International Dark Sky Reserve, one of only seven in the UK, you can experience skies largely free from light pollution. On clear nights, this means dazzling views of stars, meteor showers, and the glow of the full moon rising over the landscape. Of course, the weather is beyond our control, but when the clouds part, the night sky here is truly unforgettable.
