Built in 1904 as the original stud barn at Westerlands, this historic space sits close to the former stallion box and stands as a reminder of the estate’s distinguished equine heritage. Today, it honours Florence Nagle — the first woman to breed racehorses at Westerlands and a pioneering figure in British racing.
Named in her memory, Florence’s Barn celebrates both the legacy of thoroughbred excellence and the bold spirit of independence she embodied.
