Join us for a very special autumn evening as we open the doors to Florence’s Barn and Yard, celebrating its remarkable history with a harvest supper inspired by the land around us.
Named after pioneering racehorse trainer Florence Nagel, the barn has a story deeply connected to Westerlands. Florence was ahead of her time in both racing and her approach to the land, with a belief in healthy soil, natural horse keeping and working with nature—an ethos that feels just as relevant at Westerlands today.
The evening begins around the firepit with drinks and a ribbon-cutting to officially open the barn and yard, before gathering around one long table for a seasonal feast. Expect produce from the Good Gut Garden, Westerlands beef and wild ingredients foraged from the surrounding landscape, with our forager Megan sharing the stories behind some of the ingredients gathered for the meal.
