Westerlands Brilliant Breakfast
On Thursday 26th March, we were delighted to host the Westerlands Brilliant Breakfast, led by Antonia Jamison in support of Change a Girl’s Life and The King’s Trust.
Set in our newly renovated Waterlands Room, the morning brought together a wonderful group of guests for a relaxed and inspiring gathering centred around an important cause — helping young women regain confidence, build skills, and step back into the world of work.
Guests were welcomed with freshly roasted coffee from our Horsebox Café, featuring the “Wolfie” house blend by Edgcumbes, alongside delicious pastries generously provided by The Barn, Chichester, and fresh fruit from Berries on Tap. The warm, welcoming atmosphere created the perfect setting for meaningful conversation and connection.
Our discussion, “How can creative spaces in nature inspire collaboration?”, sparked thoughtful insights and shared experiences. Surrounded by nature, the conversation reflected the very essence of Westerlands — a belief in the power of accessible, creative environments to bring people together and inspire new ideas.
Most importantly, thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended and donated, the event was a huge success. We are thrilled to share that £560 was raised, with an additional £108.75 in Gift Aid — more than doubling the original £250 target.
These funds will go directly towards supporting young women through The King’s Trust, helping to provide opportunities such as training courses, interview preparation, travel support, and essential resources to build independence and confidence.
At Westerlands, we are proud to support initiatives that align with our core principle of democratising access to nature and opportunity for all. It was a truly uplifting morning, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us, contributed, and helped make a meaningful difference.
