What we provide

  • Bedding & Linens

All bedding, linen, tea towels, and microfibre cloths are provided. Our Egyptian cotton bedding is comfortable, ethically made, and free from harmful chemicals.

  • In the Kitchen

The well equipped kitchen includes: a sink, fridge freezer, dishwasher, electric hob, electric oven, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, plunge coffee jug, pots, pans and utensils, chopping boards, knife block, crockery, cutlery, mugs and glasses.

  • Edge Coffee

We actively support local businesses which is why our complementary coffee is made by one of our partners, Sussex based coffee merchant, Edge who have been roasting coffee since 1981. Their Roastery, EDGE Café and Store is located nearby, just outside the historical town of Arundel.

  • Pantry Supplies

As well as our favourite coffee from Edge, we provide the basic items - sugar, tea, salt, pepper and olive oil. Graffham Village Shop is open from 7am to 7pm and is just a 2 mile walk from the house. If there is anything else you need or have any questions, please contact us.

  • Westerlands Honey

Honey made from Westerlands bees is available to buy at £5 per small jar. Please leave your money in the honesty pot provided. Proceeds go to our replanting of edible hedgerows, which feed our bees and include winter flowering jasmine, pink elderflower, red and white hawthorn and bird cherries.

  • Faith in Nature Soaps

Our complementary hand soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner are made by Faith in Nature and are entirely in keeping with our ethos here at Westerlands. They are ethical, sustainable, cruelty free, recycled, recyclable, natural, vegan and biodegradable. We refill bottles in our laundry room so please don’t throw empty bottles away, just ask for a refill.

  • Ecover Cleaning Products

All our household cleaning products are made by Ecover. We also launder our linen with Ecover. Made in a zero waste certified factory with plant-based, biodegradable ingredients and stored in a bottle made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic and refilled in our laundry room.

  • Utilities

Water is from our borehole on the South Downs and is pure, sweet and safe to drink. Central heating, hot water and towel rails are all heated by the farm’s biomass renewable heating system. The house is on mains electricity and connected to the internet via high speed fibre.

  • Outside Seating

Guests can unwind on the bench outside the dining room, soaking in the sights and sounds of local wildlife, watching horses set off on treks, and taking in the stunning views of the South Downs.

  • For Young Children

We provide a highchair, changing mats, travel cot, children’s cutlery, beakers and melamine plates plus stair gates. If you need more than one of each, or anything else to make your stay more comfortable, please contact us so that we can organise for these to be at the house when you arrive.
