At Westerlands, children can discover the joy of spending time with ponies in a safe, supportive, and fun environment. Through hands-on activities, gentle guidance, and plenty of laughter, they’ll build confidence, learn new skills, and create lasting memories. Whether it’s making friends, trying something new, or deepening a love for horses, our pony experiences are designed to inspire and delight every child.

  • 3-day Pony Camp

    YOUNG TEENS AGE 10-15

    This fun-filled camp includes off-road pony rides, pampering and daily care, educational theory sessions and nature camping at Westerlands with all meals provided. Enjoy games, campfires, and hands-on yard duties, plus farm walks, wildlife spotting, quizzes and more—perfect for young pony lovers seeking adventure and learning in the countryside!

    At Westerlands Pony Academy, we teach young teens everything they need to know about the day-to-day life of a horse — from grooming and feeding to understanding their needs and creating a bond with them. It’s not just about riding — it's about building a strong relationship with these amazing animals and learning how to take care of them.

    Our Pony Morning offers an exciting, educational and fun-filled experience for young children, with a wonderful opportunity to connect with animals, develop new skills, and enjoy the outdoors. Children will learn to tack up and care for their ponies as well as play equestrian games and enjoy a pony ride around the farm.

In the wild horses will roam across vast areas foraging for food and water. They will naturally seek out herbs for general health and they instinctively seek out medicinal herbs to aid any ailments they may have. Domesticated horses do not have access to this variety of herbs, so at Westerlands we bring the herbs to the horses.
