This inspiring 2-hour workshop invites children to explore their creativity through paint, clay, and natural materials, with our gentle ponies as their muses. Each child can take their artwork home or choose to display it in our activity room gallery.

Perfect for young horse lovers aged 7–15, these fun and practical 2-hour sessions teach children what it takes to care for a pony.

Each week covers a new topic through hands-on and theory-based learning, with a rosette to take home every session. It’s a great way to build skills, confidence, and experience around horses in a safe and supportive environment.

Our Pony Morning offers an exciting, educational and fun-filled experience for young children, with a wonderful opportunity to connect with animals, develop new skills, and enjoy the outdoors. Children will learn to tack up and care for their ponies as well as play equestrian games and enjoy a pony ride around the farm.

At Westerlands Pony Academy, we teach young teens everything they need to know about the day-to-day life of a horse — from grooming and feeding to understanding their needs and creating a bond with them. Join us for an unforgettable 5hr pony camp adventure at Westerlands! From scenic pony rides and pamper sessions to hands-on care, fun theory lessons and group games — it's the perfect mix of learning, nature, and fun. A relaxed and enjoyable way to explore the estate without tiring your legs. Perfect for first-time riders, families, and anyone looking for a gentle introduction, this guided farm walk lets you take in the scenery at an easy pace. For safety and comfort, all riders are led by a handler unless otherwise advised, ensuring a calm, confidence-building experience for everyone.

Bring your little one along for a fun, hands-on morning at the yard, helping care for our ponies! 🐴

With guidance from our friendly, experienced team, children will have the chance to: muck out the stable, lay fresh bedding, sweep and tidy the yard, prepare feed bowls, refill water buckets and haynets.

Parents remain with their children throughout the session, making it a shared learning experience and a lovely opportunity to bond.

Spend some special time with one of our gentle ponies! Brush their soft coats, plait their manes with colourful ribbons, and give them a big cuddle. Ponies love attention and understand kindness — they’ll soon be your new best friend! Enjoy a calm, happy moment together full of care, trust, and fun.

Celebrate your birthday with a magical pony party! Spend 2 hours at Westerlands grooming and plaiting the ponies, enjoying time with them in the yard, and having the chance to ride if you wish. There’s also time to relax, eat together, and sing Happy Birthday. Food can be provided at an additional cost.
