At Westerlands, we love to celebrate Easter with relaxed springtime treats at the Horsebox Café for the grown-ups, while little ones delight in a Pony Easter Egg Trail, and hands-on fun at our Equestrian Centre—meeting ponies and making new friends as they welcome the season together.
Many of our farm stays come with outdoor spaces and cosy corners, perfect for enjoying the first warm evenings of the year—whether that’s toasting marshmallows, sharing stories, or simply soaking up the peaceful beauty of spring on the farm.

Halloween

At Halloween, the air carries a special kind of magic. All over the world lanterns glow, laughter echoes, and whispers of folklore mingle with costumes and feasts.
At Westerlands, we like to celebrate the magic of Halloween with a delicious spiced pumpkin latte at the Horsebox Café for the grown-ups while the kids enjoy an hour at our Equestrian Centre on a Trick or Treat Pony Ride and have fun with new friends creating a spooky Halloween decorations. 🎃
Almost all our farm stays feature firepits or fireplaces, making chestnut roasting a firm favourite at this time of year!

Christmas

If you’re with us on the shortest day, Winter Solstice (21 December), you can embrace ancient Nordic traditions by burning a Yule log at your property as almost all of our farm stays feature firepits or fireplaces.
At our Horsebox Café, we also celebrate the seasonal shift towards lighter days with a sweet and festive slice of Bûche de Noël, the traditional edible Yule log, a luxurious indulgence to mark the ritual. Paired with mulled wine, it’s the perfect way for grown-ups to celebrate the festive season while the children set off on a Pony Tinsel Ride at our Equestrian Centre and gather with new friends to craft their own Christmas treasures to take home.
